Laura was raised on a farm in Canada. Her summer days were spent as a farm-kid. She loves her family. Her heart was dramatically changed when she came to understand the gospel in the fall of 2004 while attending University in Southern California. She is passionate about sharing Jesus with others so they too can experience the joy of being loved by and walking with Him.
For three years Laura worked as Assistant to the General Counsel for various International US based non-profits. Then she went off to University and after graduation, Laura took a job managing a Starbucks where she solidified her love for coffee. Following this Laura stepped into a career working in policy & management for almost 5 years on the Hill. While she loved her career, in 2013 God led Laura to move to Uganda as a full-time missionary.
Laura serves and loves the people of Uganda; with a passion to see them come to know and thrive in the gospel and love of Jesus. Although life in Ugandan villages is hard at times, many days she often wonders how it is that she has such a fun rewarding job? The children bring such joy, and the greatest joy is seeing them come to know and experience just how much Jesus loves them.
Life is an adventure, how does one go from farm-girl, to Assistant to the General Counsel for US based non-profits, to federal policy and politics, to living in the African bush loving & investing in vulnerable youth? There isn't an answer, but Laura is convinced that Jesus is the answer to every question.
Laura's Alma Mater profiled her & her work in their Alumni Magazine-See it HERE (pg 22-23)

Jesus said the "harvest is ripe, but the labourers are few." Missionaries are not paid, but raise their own support. If you are interested in joining our team, send us an email to get the conversation started.
All interested people go through a thorough vetting process and must be approved by our Advisory Board. Long-term missionary candidates must be mature believers who have already established themselves in a career and been actively ministering in their local churches.
